Start the day calm, focused, and happy

Mornings don’t have to be rushed or stressful. A simple 5-minute routine can help your child feel grounded and ready for the day ahead. Example Routine (5 Minutes Total)

Minute 1: Gentle Wake-Up

  • Soft music or a calm voice instead of loud alarms
  • Stretch arms and legs in bed

Minute 2: Belly Breathing

  • 3–5 slow, deep breaths
  • Pretend to “smell flowers and blow out candles.”

Minute 3: Positive Affirmation

  • “I am happy.”
  • “I am strong.”
  • “Today will be a good day.”

Minute 4: Light Movement

  • Quick stretch
  • 10 jumping jacks or a fun wiggle dance

Minute 5: Gratitude Moment

  • Name 1 thing they’re excited about
  • Or 1 thing they’re thankful for
